Workshop Process
Design Thinking
“Student Finantial Problem”
0. About This Workshop
In a Workshop instructed by Vanguard RPX Design Team, there was a chance’to learn about design thinking. Design Thinking is also called Human Centered Design which identifies the best way to problem-solve for a specific situation with the user as the center of focus. This thinking process is categorized into three steps: Looking, Understanding, and Making.
1. Looking
In this stage, we discussed our thoughts on financial problems among students and figured out each student’s problem.
2. Understanding
In this process, we tried to understand the persona (user) based on her persona poster, experience diagram (weekday and weekend schedule), and mood board we made, based on the interview and the looking stage.
2-1. Understanding (Persona Poster)
The persona was based on the result of the vote, interview (interviewee: same age student group) and each team’s decision.
2-2. Understanding (Mood Board & Experience Diagramming)
It was made to give more understanding about the person and show the problem more clearly.
3. Making
In this stage, we made ideas, and narrowed down the idea through three questions:
WHO is the target of the concept.
WHY target would use this idea.
HOW to make the person use this idea.
